Coverage for Medical Eye Care Services

When diagnosed and treated for a medical eye condition, Medicare or your health insurance (different from vision insurance) is often used to cover the medical aspect of your eye visit.

Medicare Coverage Details

Medicare covers the majority of the cost for an annual dilated eye examination if you belong to certain groups at higher risk of developing glaucoma, such as being diabetic or having a family history of glaucoma, being African-American aged 50 and older, or Hispanic-American aged 65 and older. Vision Insurance vs. Medical Insurance

Vision insurance focuses on eye care, prescription eyewear, and other vision-related services, offering reduced costs. It differs from regular medical health insurance, which safeguards against unexpected eye injuries or diseases.

Additional Payment Options

Here are other options you can explore for quality eye care services at our two locations:

Cash Payment: Enjoy a 10% discount when paying in full by cash or personal check during your initial visit (not applicable with insurance or other discounts).

CareCredit: We offer CareCredit, a patient payment program with flexible monthly payments and no up-front costs, fees, or pre-payment penalties. It's an accessible way to manage your eye care expenses.
